The joys!

My son comes up with the FUNNIEST things to say these days.

One of the most popular topics lately is poop and penises.

"Mommy my poop's sleeping in my bum"
"That's my little poop!  My try make big poop wake up"
"Where your penis go Mommy?"

Love you forever!

I just went in to Landon's room to calm him down.  Whenever he gets cranky at night he usually just needs a little "Rock-A-Bye-Baby" time and then he's good to go.  Tonight I had to go back twice.  The second time Annalisa was sleeping so I took advantage of it and sang "Rock-A-Bye-Baby" back to back for 10 minutes straight.  Then for the first time I was able to sing "I love you forever" without breaking out in tears!  He smiled when I sang it so I continued on singing it 5 or 6 more times.  I like to think that he really understands me when I'm trying to tell him how much I love him.  As long as I'm living, my baby he'll be!

Poop on the potty!

Landon just pooped on the potty for the first time!

Nothing says "Mommy I'm growning up", like toilet training.  Wow, he really is getting older.

Annalisa got her shots yesterday.  She also got weighed. 10lb 8oz!! She's gaining, but not too fast (thank goodness). Landon was 14lbs at his 2 month appointment. I remember being sad that he was growing so fast so I am really happy that she is staying smaller longer!

Landon is playing in the baby gym. Who knew baby gyms were for 2 year olds as well?

Such sweet words!

Last night my mother came over to watch the kids while I went out to a jewelry party.  I had just finished putting Landon's pajamas on and we were heading down the hall. I noticed my mother say "Good night Landon", so I sent him back to give her a hug.  Landon went up to her, grabbed her hand and gave her "five".  Then he started to run back down the hall. I said "Landon, give Nana a kiss", so he ran back to her and gave her a kiss. Then he did his strut out of the room. My Mom said "Goodnight Landon, love you".  Landon replied "Luh loo Nana, Nigh Nigh Nana".

WHAT!! So the first "I love you" goes to my Mom! I was so jealous!

I put Landon to bed.  On the way out I probably told him "I love you" a hundred times, with no luck of a reply,  just "Bye bye Mommy", or "Nigh Nigh Mommy".

Today I was on the phone with my husband explaining what happened yesterday and how he refuses to say "I love you".  I tried to demonstrate..."Landon, I love you", only this time I finally got "Luv loo Mommy".  What a great moment!

Welcome to my Blog and tiny window into my life!

Landon had been in bed over an hour chatting with himself when I heard him start to cry.   I secretly love when this happens because I get to go in and rock him in the rocking chair before putting him back to bed.

It was even perfect timing because Annalisa had just drifted off to sleep.  We start rocking and I hummed to him for a while.  I've been feeling really sentimental lately so I tell him that I love him, that he will always be my baby, and that I can't wait to hear him tell me he loves me too.

Then I place him back in his crib, and he starts repeating everything I say...
"Landon I'm going to put you back to bed"
"Bed?"
"Ok hunny, here's your blanket"
"Banket"
"Where's your kitty?"
"Mew Mew?"
"You'll always be Mommy's baby"
"Baby... Baby schitcher?"
"Yes hunny I'm going to see baby sister, ok baby boy, I love you!"
"Nigh nigh Mommy"

I swear he refuses to say "I love you" just to drive me crazy!
